How we protect students
Student pages stay out of search
Player and student pages are hidden from Google and other search engines. Families share them directly with people they know.
Parents in control
Parents can be admins on their child's page, and organizers decide who can join a campaign.
Photos are optional
A page can show initials instead of a photo. Families choose what goes on their page.
Totals can stay private
Organizers can show every player's amount, only the top few, or none, so no child is singled out.
Sign-in links that stay in the family
One-tap invite links open only that family's pages in that fundraiser, and stop working soon after it ends. Anything more needs a code sent by email.
Old campaigns close
A year after a campaign ends, its public pages are taken down. Your team can still see the results.
What the Verified badge means
Fundraiser pages show who's behind them. An organization gets the Verified badge only after we check it.
- For a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we check its tax ID (EIN) and legal name against IRS records, plus an email at its own web address, or we review its IRS determination letter
- For a public school or district, the organizer confirms a code sent to their school or district email, or we confirm it by hand
- Verified organizations' receipts include their legal name and EIN
- Anyone can double-check a 501(c)(3) on the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search
- Verified isn't a promise that a gift is tax-deductible for you. That depends on your situation, so check with a tax advisor
How we protect supporters
Secure payments
Card details are handled by our payment processor. We never store full card numbers.
We never sell personal information
Supporter details are used to run the fundraiser they gave to, and never sold or shared for marketing.
Easy to stop reminders
Reply STOP to any text or unsubscribe from any email. Reminders also stop as soon as someone gives.
Real receipts
Every gift gets an email receipt, with the organization's tax ID when its nonprofit status is verified, and the line you'll see on your card statement.
Give anonymously
Supporters can choose to show as Anonymous on the page.
Payouts go where they should
If anyone changes where a team's money is sent, the team's money contacts are told and the payout waits a few days.
Questions families ask
What does the Verified badge mean?
We've checked the organization: a 501(c)(3)'s tax ID against IRS records (or its IRS letter), or that a public school or district organizer can receive email at the school's address. It isn't a promise that your gift is tax-deductible.
Who can see my child's page?
Anyone with the link, which families share with people they know. It isn't listed in search engines.
Is giving secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by our payment provider, and we never store full card numbers.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
If the organization is a verified nonprofit or public school, your receipt includes its tax ID. Check with a tax advisor about your situation.
How do I stop messages?
Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
